The municipality of Gohrisch with the districts of Cunnersdorf, Kleinhennersdorf,
Kurort Gohrisch and Papstdorf is located in a quiet, wooded and climatically balanced location on a plateau to the left of the Elbe, in the Saxon Switzerland National Park region. The towns of Bad Schandau and Königstein are located nearby in the Elbe Valley. Tourism, agriculture, and crafts form the economic basis of our municipality, which has a population of approximately 2,200. The Gohrisch(stein), Papststein, and Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, the Lasensteine, Spitzstein, and Katzstein frame the municipality of Gohrisch. The striking table mountains Lilienstein and Pfaffenstein as well as the Königstein Fortress are located in the immediate vicinity.
