Gemeinde Gohrisch – The diamond in the realm of stones

The municipality of Gohrisch, comprising the districts of Cunnersdorf, Kleinhennersdorf,

Kurort Gohrisch, and Papstdorf, is located in a quiet, wooded area with a
balanced climate on a plateau to the left of the Elbe River in the Saxon Switzerland National Park region. The towns of Bad Schandau and Königstein are located nearby in the Elbe Valley.

Tourism, agriculture, and crafts form the economic basis of our municipality, which has a population of approximately 1,900.

The Gohrisch(stein), Papststein, and Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, Lasensteine, Spitzstein, and Katzstein rocks surround the municipality of Gohrisch. The striking table mountains Lilienstein and Pfaffenstein, as well as Königstein Fortress, are located in the immediate vicinity.
